Wilgus Fire Control

Safeguard-Wilgus Fire was started in 1960 by Charles Wilgus and quickly expanded. Dry chemical fire extinguishers were replacing soda and acid fire extinguishers and the new pressurized ones required special training and eqipment. Additionally, the restaurant industry had a new fire system for its fire-prone cooking hoods.

Employee training and manufacture seminars became, and still are today, commonplace for all technicians at Safeguard-Wilgus Fire. Presently, employees of Safeguard-Wilgus Fire hold more certificates of training than all other companies north of Sacramento and have 194 years combined experience.

Our Story

With this education and training program in place, Safeguard-Wilgus Fire soon grew to touch all upper borders of California. We currently have 13 fully equipped service vehicles that patrol the north state. Our California Contractors License covers fire protection systems and all electrical. Our Contractors License has remained unblemished since the beginning, over two decades ago.
